It says,
Saint Namdev says that the body is perishable and life is uncertain. It is incomprehensible to know the moment of its destruction. Fearlessness inculcates in One who recites the Name of Supreme Lord Shri Ram incessantly. The Name Worship of Supreme Lord makes One detached when the messenger of God of Death knocks at his door
It is said that every song has an appropriate time associated with it. But Saint Namdev implores Vitthal,  the Lord Supreme that he is unaware of this knowledge. While singing the praises of the Supreme Lord , he often sings facing west while all others are singing facing the south. But he is least bothered of these rituals because absorbing into the Name Worship is paramount to him in his devotion. As a devotee he only wishes to seek this opportunity to serve the Divine Lord with utmost reverence from within and wishes to do it in every birth henceforth. "

It says ,
Saint Namdev is one of the pioneers who made the Name Worship of Supreme Lord familiar at the grassroot level of society. It no more remained prerogative of few visiting the temple but became easily accessible to the masses , regardless of where they are. The Name Worship of Supreme Lord is in itself a wonderful means to merge within and hence steers the Seeker on the path of Self Realisation. The lucidity of devotional compositions of Saint Namdev is enough to tempt the masses to the Name Worship of Supreme Lord Shri Ram.
Saint Namdev insisted that bookish knowledge has its limits.  The incessant recital of the holy " Ram Nam " is enough to attain the wisdom of Supreme Self. No elaborate rituals and practices are needed to attain Self Realisation.
Saint Namdev says , blessed is the One who recites holy " Ram Nam " continually. The Name Worship of Supreme Lord generates virtuousness in the seeker thus purifying him from within. One who recites the holy  " Ram Nam " is absolved of all sins. The glory of the One who is absorbed in the Name Worship is unparalleled. It is the easiest means of attain Supreme Self which is the abode of Eternal Bliss. "

It says ,
" The devotees of Supreme Lord Vishnu are well aware of glory of His Name Worship. Elucidating it  Saint Namdev says ,
Devotees of Divine Lord Vishnu are called Vaishnav. The flavor of the Divine essence is deeply ingrained in them through constant recital of name of Supreme Lord. One having materialistic outlook is ignorant and hence remains unaware of the divine sweetness of the Name Worship of Supreme Lord. Instead he tends to be absorbed in satisfying the unending desire of senses. This self inflicted entrapment of senses keeps him forever away from the Name Worship of Supreme Lord. The path of Self Realisation unfolds only when One recites the Name Of Supreme Lord incessantly. Worthless is life if One spends time in doing mundane things instead of devoting exclusively to the Name Worship of Supreme Lord.
The devotee is the One who is beyond the realm of any distinction , be it cast or social hierarchy or appearance. The Name Of Supreme Lord is beyond such worldly perspective. Everyone born is entitled.to recite the Name of Supreme Lord.
Supreme Lord Vitthal who is revered by His devotee so earnestly is the Divine, Self Manifested. The Divine Name of Supreme Lord is easily accessible to His true devotee. But it is equally unattainable for the One who does not believe in it from within.
In this composition Saint Namdev has propounded of the paramount importance of the Name Worship of Supreme Lord , as One needs to do conscious effort to recite His name in this rarest of rare human birth. "

My soul aches like a squirming  fish out of water.. The extreme turmoil of mind is very depressing and life seems to be like a barren land. The sagging spirit is causing much melancholy. Sorrow from deep within has engrossed everyone in the proximity and all of them are grieving of his imminent departure from this worldly life. "

" In this composition Saint Namdev has delved deep into the intricacies of human mind. He says ,
Fickle human mind is ever vacilitating. It has an inherent inclination to be captivated by sensual desires. It is aroused by even a faint whiff of smell.
Reciting the holy 'Ram Nam' is a simple way to keep mind well occupied as well as well swayed. One must inculcate a habit of reciting the holy 'Ram Nam' while doing daily chores. If One recites the holy 'Ram Nam' incessantly while enjoying pleasures of senses then he remains immune to  their ill effects.
One who recites the holy 'Ram Nam' continually attains noteworthiness in world.
Blessed is the One who recites the holy 'Ram Nam' at the brink of death. He becomes One with the Divine Lord and is liberated from the unending cycle of death and rebirth.
Name Worship of Supreme Lord Shri Ram is easier than other modes of devotion having ritualistic precedence. The Name Worship of Supreme Lord Shri Ram is open to all , regardless of any distinction.
Supreme Lord Shiva recites the holy 'Ram Nam' continually and hence the Name Worship of Supreme Lord Shri Ram is the easiest means to seek the Supreme Consciousness.
Saint Namdev reiterates from time and again that One must recite the holy 'Ram Nam' continuously making it his way of  life as it surely unfolds the path of Self Realisation. "

" In this composition Saint Namdev has emphasized the paramount importance of the Name Worship Of Supreme Lord Shri Ram in Kaliyug. He urges the Seeker of Supreme Self to recite the Name of Supreme Lord Shri Ram incessantly as it is the only way to become One with Supreme Consciousness. He propounds ,O Lord Supreme , you are my soul and everything I wish to live for. Your Holy Name is the essence of the universe , rest is all a myth. In Kaliyug, your Holy Name is the pillar of strength for the One seeking the path of Self Realisation. worldly synonyms
Saint Namdev wishes to serve the Supreme Lord with utmost reverence. He detests the mundane things like greed and desire of senses which creates a veil of ignorance between the Seeker and the Supreme Lord. He says that for a true devotee ,continual recital of the Name of Supreme Lord Shri Ram is the only way to attain Eternal Bliss. " In this composition Saint Namdev has lashed out at the Tartuffe or religious hypocrite who cheat by way of deception. He says ,
In a farm , a scarecrow or a dummy in the shape of a man is used to frighten the birds away from seeds. Even if this dummy wields a weapon , it's feigned nature cannot remain hidden for long.
A crow can never display the magnanimity of flamingo. An illiterate man even if accompanies a man of wisdom does not become one.
Saint Namdev has expressed his annoyance over the imposter who deceives a commoner in the name of religious rituals and hence he cautions One, of people of such devillish intentions. Their attire is a false pretense for their wicked desires  but from within they are far from any commitment to self and off course to anyone else ."

" Saint Namdev regards the Holy Pilgrimage Pandharapur in very high esteem. He experiences deep rooted longing for the place and regards the Holy place as a box of contentment housing the jewel , the Supreme Lord Vitthal. The Holy place where peace of mind and tranquility blossoms from within. Saint Namdev says that he desires to reside in Pandharapur and bathe in the sacred waters of river Chandrabhaga before he visits the temple of Divine Lord Vitthal. He yearns to be blessed with this fortuity in every birth
Saint Namdev says that he experiences intense longing to recite the Name of Supreme Lord Vitthal incessantly and desires to keep in the proximity of the Enlightened Beings.Their nearness is vital to nurture the devotion .Constant awareness of Omnipresence of Supreme Lord must be inculcated from deep within. One must sing praises of the Supreme Lord Vitthal with reverence and desire to hear nothing but these Divine sounds. Saint Namdev implores that he merges with the sublime divine experience , as it is secondless. "

It says ,
" A bee trapped in the spider web resembles a man in the shackles of worldly life. In this composition Saint Namdev has suggested its remedial measures He says ,
The Name Worship of Supreme Lord sets free the One in the bondage of senses. The Supreme Lord chaperons the One who has surrendered to Him completely and hence steers him on the path of wisdom.
Since time immemorial , there are innumerable instances where the Supreme Lord has guided and escorted His devotee from difficult situations.
Pingala , who made her living as a prostitute , was transformed from bottomless loneliness to absolute happiness. The Name Worship of Supreme Lord awakened in her a great sense of detachment. This not only removed her anxiety but also replaced it with great happiness. Pingala's story is about the sudden bursting forth of spiritual illumination. One day , when no one turned up to her , then in the utterly disappointed state of mind , she experienced an awakening which was sudden and profoundly regenerative. She was filled with a profound sense of Divine delight when she surrendered to Supreme Lord Krishna with absolute reverence. She was enlightened by reciting the Name of Supream Lord.
Ahilya , the wife of sage Gautam Maharishi was seduced by Indra , the king of Gods. She was cursed by her husband for infidelity He cursed her that she will lose her form she was so proud of and subsist only on air. Surviving in this manner ,  will become invisible to the world  meriting no more importance than an ordinary rock , for ages to come. Only when Supreme Lord Shri Ram decides to set foot on her then she may be redeemed Her sin was  expiated when she extended her hospitality to Supreme Lord Shri Ram and she was redeemed by the grace of His feet.
Although Ajamil didn't devote his life for a prayer , he was purified from all his sins because at the last moment he chanted the holy name Narayan , the Supreme Lord Krishna.
Gajendra , the elephant king lived in Trikuta mountain. He was rescued from the deathly clutches of crocodile by Supreme Lord Vishnu.
In Mahabharat , Draupadi was saved from being disrobed , when she called for Supreme Lord Krishna. He saved her from disgrace when He was touched by her deep rooted faith in Him.
Saint Namdev hence implores that One must pursue the Name Worship of Supreme Lord continually as it opens the gates of Supreme Bliss. "

It says ,
" Virtuousness of man is always a reflection of his mental make-up. Devotion must be ingrained with attributes like piousness and compassion. A devotee must not be estranged from society. In this composition Saint Namdev has emphasized that One , visiting temple and offering praises to the Supreme Lord must be a warm hearted person , less all his deeds will be in vain. He says ,
Being pretentious and attempting to be conspicuous is but useless for the One on the.journey of Self Realisation.Righteousness from within is a prerequisite for the enlightenment.
Reciting the Name of Supreme Lord with no compassion from within is absolutely worthless for the One who seeks the noble path of devotion. Condemned is the One who displays flashy pompousness under the pretext of being a devotee but has no social conscience.
Similarly the One who professes to be a devotee but from within is a ruthless manipulator , who is ready to inflict  harm  for the recovery  of but a  meagre sum is equally deplorable.
One who wears a mask of righteousness but holds evil intent from within is a genuine hypocrite. Saint Namdev says that the Seeker of Supreme Self must absorb completely in the Name Worship of Supreme Lord. The trueness to self is the only way to become One with the Supreme Self. "

It says ,
" In this composition Saint Namdev has exemplified the Name Worship of Supreme Lord , being vital on the journey of Self Realisation. He says ,
One who recites the Name of Supreme Lord Vitthal ceaselessly becomes One with the Supreme Lord Vishnu. The Seeker reciting the Name of Supreme Lord Vitthal merges into the Divine to become One with it. He is then blessed of the Eternal Bliss of Supreme Abode Vaikunth , which is ecstasy par excellence .
" Nirguna " is the eternal , all pervading and omnipresent Divine Consciousness. Saguna is the manifestation of God in form. This is just as Sunlight is the Nirgun form of the Sun and the celestial body is the Saguna form. The Nirguna is beyond the realm of three tendencies , Satva , Raja , Tama. Every living being is believed as the net result of the joint effect of these qualities. It is almost impossible for our intellect to grasp and understand the eternal , all - conscious and omnipresent divine energy. It is however much easier for us to have a divine incarnation as a figurehead , towards whom we are able to direct our feelings. In Saguna , the Divine appears in a human form making it easier for  us to come closer. Thus if river of consciousness of a divine incarnation is followed then ocean of Nirgun can be reached safely. A Seeker has an impression of God according to his own level of spiritual development , and forms his own mental image of God. His expression for the worship of divine manifests as Supreme Lord Vitthal.
The devotee of Divine Lord Vitthal recites His holy Name  with reverence and is blessed by the Divine. The Seeker of Supreme Self is absorbed in the Name Worship Of Supreme Lord from within. "

It says ,
" Among the innumerable species of living beings humans can alone discriminate between right and wrong and eschew that which is not conducive for their well-being. Human beings have been gifted of an exclusive feature of realisation of their spiritual nature and the capacity to actualise this potential in this birth. In this composition Saint Namdev has underscored the fact that human birth should not be frittered away on materialistic pursuits. Saint Namdev says that the individual who has understood the purpose of his birth and has resorted to incessant recital of the Name of Supreme Lord Shri Ram has realised the fruit of his birth.
Human life in the world has been put forth metaphorically as a journey from the womb to the tomb. As no one can escape death , it is imperative that One has to make a conscious effort to put an end to the unending cycle of death and rebirths by realising the Divine in this birth itself.
Saint Namdev deeply regrets losing of precious time in this rarest of rare human birth , being enticed in the powerful clutches of worldly desires. He says ,
Our human birth is governed by intricate labyrinth of Causality or relation between cause and effect. It is not only actions, but also intentions and consequences associated with each action. This Causality unfolds on the backdrop of Maya , the Illusion.
The most certain inevitability of life is death. No one mourns the conclusion of a life. A man is born alone and dies alone and he experiencea the good and bad consequences of his deeds alone. One feels vulnerable when the death knocks on the door. Regardless of being loved by family and friends ,a man is all alone in his rendezvous with death. As the soul will depart, the body will wither and alone it will be swallowed by the flames. The friends and family will accompany the soulless body up to the crematorium but they are
well aware of who is dead and who is alive .And hence they will return back to their homes leaving the dead body all alone. Saint Namdev says ,the final scene of the end journey flashes in his mind thereby reflecting the trueness of fleeting and perishable life. This imagination itself is so shattering and it clouds his mind with utter vulnerability and frustration . And hence He implores his mind  that this life on earth is a halting place on the way to achievement of the ultimate goal of life , the Self Realisation. The life is short and there are many obstacles to get over. Waste not precious time , but utilise every moment for the noblest of causes. This journey of Self Realisation unfolds when One surrenders to the Supreme Lord Vitthal with utmost reverence.  as it is a sure path to the Eternal Bliss. "

It says ,
" In this composition Saint Namdev has elaborated on significance of the Name Worship of Supreme Lord. He says ,
Be it a marriage ceremony or any other religious ritual , reminding  of the Name of Supreme Lord Shri Ram is always most auspicious.A person about to die is encouraged to recite holy " Ram Nam " for his peaceful transcendence to Supreme abode. In the end everything including the body betrays , but the Name of Supreme Lord accompanies the soul without default..The holy " Ram Nam " is a way towards perennial joy. It acts as a tranquil force which kills animal passion , being the Supreme purifier of the mind.
The Supreme Lord Shiva recites the holy " Ram Nan " incessantly.
"Shraddha" ritual is performed to pay homage to One's ancestors. It is a way of expressing gratitude towards parents and ancestors for having helped them to be what they are and praying for their peace. It Is the Day of Remembrance. During this ritual it is insisted to recite the Name of Supreme Lord Vishnu.
The Name of Supreme Lord Shri Ram instills piousness in the departing soul and steers his journey to Supreme Abode peacefully.

It says ,
" Elucidating the paramount importance of Name Worship of Supreme Lord Vitthal Saint Namdev says ,
The recital of Name of Supreme Lord is without recompense. It needs no fortune And also it is effortless. The Name Worship of Divine Lord helps One to traverse across an ocean of worldly life inculcating detachment
In Epic Ramayan , the monkeys cast giant boulders into the sea. The recital of Name of Supreme Lord Shri Ram made the stones to float on water thus making a bridge.
Out of his anger of Pralhad's devotion to Supreme Lord Narayan , his father Hiranyakashipu subjected him to torture. And hence Supreme Lord Narayan emerging in the incarnation of Narasimha killed him. Hiranyakashipu was blessed to have been killed by the Supreme Lord due to virtuousness of his son , Prahlad who devoted his life to the incessant recital of the Name of Supreme Lord Narayan.
Saint Namdev thus reiterates that the Name Worship of the Supreme Lord rescues One from the powerful clutches of worldly desires and hence leads One to Self Realisation. "

" In this composition Saint Namdevhas compared jaggery (गुळ) with the Supreme Lord Shri Ram and jaggery making with journey of Self Realisation.He has given a beautiful analogy of jaggery making. He says ,
Like Supreme Lord Shri Ram , the jaggery is very sweet. The sugarcane made of five senses is chopped by the blade of wisdom and then pressed in the masher of meditation. The sugarcane juice so obtained is cooked in the body of a pious soul. The jaggery thus formed sparkles like a gold and has Divine essence embedded in it. This was done under the expert supervision of the Enlightened Being. This jaggery is secondless  in all three worlds of the universe. Saint Namdev says that jaggery made with the blessing of Supreme Lord Shri Ram has sublime sweetness beyond comprehension.
This jaggery is Divinely blessed.The Seeker of Supreme Self who has become One with Supreme Consciousness experiences it's Divine sweetness from within. "

It says ,
" The Name of Supreme Lord Shri Ram is an epitome of benevolence. Underneath the three letters lies the whole cosmos hidden. The holy ' Ram Nam ' is a subtle friend which comes into play with contemplation. One needs to surrender all that's possessed in terms of contemplation , which the Divine Lord returns in many folds. Elucidating this thought Saint Namdev says ,
Recital of holy ' Ram Nam 'does not need particular orientation or education. The Name Worship of Supreme Lord sets the Seeker perfectly on the journey of Self Realisation. In Kali Yug ,  adulteration of most of the pious means makes the Name Worship a unique and most effective form of devotion. It can be pursued with much ease as compared to other paths which require a lot of discipline and occupational  limitations. It is beyond the realm of religious ritualism and hence not confined within the boundaries of social discrimination. The Seeker of Supreme Self is a pious soul and hence cannot be labeled as good or bad. Regardless of any distinction , the journey of Self Realisation is for the One, who seeks Oneness with Supreme Consciousness. The perfect resonance of the individual self and the Supreme Self is attained by incessant Name Worship of Supreme Lord Shri Ram.
Saint Namdev says that Name Worship of Supreme Lord can be pursued along with our day to day activities. There is no need to renounce of our worldly duties. The Name Worship of Supreme Lord inculcates a sense of detachment deep within the Seeker despite being involved in worldly life. This detachment is vital on the inverted journey of Self Realisation which is the journey within. "

It says ,
" Among the four paths followed to seek Supreme Self , the easiest is the path of unconditional devotion. When all thoughts , all expressions , and all deeds are given up to the Divine Lord , and when least forgetfulness of the Supreme Lord makes One intensely miserable then the love for the Divine has begun. Such devotee attains the highest beatitude and hence becomes One with Supreme Consciousness. Elucidating this thought Saint Namdev says ,
The Name Worship of the Supreme Lord Narayan is a sure way to Divinity. The seeker is awarded of four Mukti's as
1) सलोकता means going to the place of deity worship
2) समीपता means being in the proximity of the deity worshipped.
3) सरूपता means. taking on the form that looks alike the deity worshipped.
4) सायुज्यता means getting into the body of the deity worshipped.
And hence Name Worship of the Supreme Lord has a paramount importance on the journey of Self Realisation. The incessant recital of the Supreme Lord is the sure way of attaining the Supreme abode Vaikunth and hence liberation from the unending cycle of births and deaths.
Saint Namdev says ,
 "राम म्हणता रामचि होसी "
It means the Seeker of Supreme Self merges into the Supreme Consciousness as the path of Self Realisation unfolds.
To attain मोक्ष or liberation means to Seek Oneness with the Supreme Self , to become knower of all and to gain enlightenment.
Saint Namdev reiterates that the Name Worship of the Supreme Lord surely leads to liberation from gruelling cycle of births and deaths. The Name Worship of the Supreme Lord Narayan , merges One with Divine Lord Narayan to become One. "

" We are not everlasting. One day the blood won't flow so gladly and we will get still. We were born alone in this world , so we will exit alone. Our journey is all alone from beginning to end. Our physical body is but a bubble on the surface of a great river. A bubble forms and disappears instantly, without even bothering the flow of the river. In this composition Saint Namdev has reminded himself of this cardinal truth that One must always be aware of death , as it is the certainty in this most uncertain world. Nevertheless when it's footsteps sound , the affections and bonds betray the most and One feels utter vulnerable as the dark silhouette of death looms over. And hence Saint Namdev implores One to surrender completely to Supreme Lord Shri Ram  as this is the only way to escape unscathed from this  gruesome ordeal. He says ,
He is well aware of the truth that as he will tend to the end of his life journey , he will be all alone once again. And hence O Lord Vitthal , please let me reside in the shadow of your kindness.
A child grows in the safety and comfort of mother's womb for nine months. The sacrifices and hardships of the mother in the childbirth  are unparalleled in all respects. But even she cannot rescue her child at the time of death. In the end , when life betrays , One is all alone in his rendezvous with death , the ultimate reality. "

It says ,
" Like two birds perched on the branches of same tree  , inseparable companions , the Individual Self and the Supreme Self. The former tastes of the sweet and bitter fruits of the tree , the later , tasting of neither , calmly observes.
There is the heart , and within the heart, there is a little house. This house has a shape of lotus , and within it dwells that which is to be sought after , inquired about , and realised. Though old age comes to the body , the lotus of the heart does not grow old. At the death of the body , it does not die. The lotus of the heart where the Supreme Consciousness resides in all its splendour , that , and not the body , is the true seat of Supreme Consciousness.
In this composition , Saint Namdev has propounded the essence of Supreme Consciousness. He says ,
It is the root source and Divine ground of everything that exists , and does not exist. A pure being which manifests as " world soul " and has infinite manifestations. It is beyond being and non-being alike. The Supreme Consciousness is viewed as having two aspects. The Impersonal aspect निर्गुण which is not object of prayer , but of meditation and knowledge. This aspect is beyond conception , beyond reasoning and beyond thought. It indicates transcendental viewpoint. And Personal aspect of absolute reality सगुण , having attributes and seen from a relative viewpoint.It is easier to cultivate devotion to idol worship than abstract principle of Supreme Consciousness. Saint Namdev says ,
He has experienced the Supreme Divine manifested  as Supreme Lord Vitthal on the bank's of river Chandrabhaga. Though the Supreme Lord is beyond comprehension of even Vedic Scriptures , the Divine manifests to His devotee Pundalik for his utmost devotion. The spirit of devotion is paramount over everything else when it comes to seeking the Supreme Lord. "

It says ,
" Our worldly life is a wonderful medley of sorrow and happiness. But a pilgrim on the journey of Self Realisation experiences only Eternal Bliss which is ecstasy from within. In this composition Saint Namdev has elucidated this thought. He says ,
Being naive to the reflective religious thought , One remains in the bondage of the senses , which is the root cause of  most of the miseries  faced in  day to day life. The veil of ignorance blocks our mind from thinking of the existence of the Supreme Lord who cares for well being of all.  The Divine is the order out of chaos. It is never hypothetical , but a very pragmatic experience. The Seeker of Supreme Self experiences the Divine presence all around him.
A gadfly (गोचिड),  remains stuck near the udder (आचळ), of cow. Despite being in its proximity , it is  unaware of sweetness of milk. It spends its life force in sucking only the blood. This beautiful analogy depicts that for One blinded by ignorance , the worldly things seem to be more reliable than the Supreme Lord who is the most reachable.
In another analogy Saint Namdev says ,
A frog and a lotus flower reside in the murky pond. A beetle is enticed by the alluring aroma of the lotus flower , but the frog is unaware of seeking enjoyment of the fragrance.
A honey bee spends it's lifetime to make honey in a beehive. But all its efforts go in vain as soon as the blessed One takes away the readymade honey.
A goat may eat raw sugarcane but it is unaware of relishing the sweetness of sugarcane juice.
Being unaware of is unpardonable especially when One is unable to seek Supreme Divine despite being born as human. Only human birth is blessed with a boon of a reflective thought ,which is vital for the journey of Self Realisation.. "

It says ,
" The only way One can transcend the world of senses is to take refuge at the feet of Supreme Lord Shri Ram. Nothing else can remedy a mind from its dis ease due to bondage of senses. Self Realisation is a journey within and hence being true to self is the most needed attribute. Only then there can be confluence of individual self and Supreme Self.  Contemplation has to be from deep within for true dialogue with the self to happen. Mangoes cannot be obtained from Babul tree just because it is sprinkled with water of pearls. The craving of pride and glory is a sweet trap that inbreeds arrogance. The  tendency  to mock others is equally derogatory to stray One from its true path.  The transformation from within can take place only when One surrenders to the Supreme Lord Shri Ram completely. It is a life long and tedious journey to transform from within. One needs to let go of affection to self to move on
Material wealth , youth and family are all like a palace made of sea sand  and will last only fleetingly. And hence it is futile to waste time and efforts to tend them. It is absolutely useless to live like a hermit when deep within there iis craving for enjoyment and sensual pleasures. The genuine love for the Supreme Divine is the only way to be rid of illusionary enticements of the world entire. Human birth Is rarest of occasions to have an opportunity of Self Realisation. One needs to make maximum benefit of it. Life is very short and the shadow of death looms over the head constantly. And hence Saint Namdev insists to be aware of this very brief existence and hence make appropriate efforts on the journey of Self Realisation. "

" In this composition , Saint Namdev implores the ' Mind '  to zero in its attention on the devotion of Supreme Lord Shri Ram. He says ,
We live a fugitive life. None who is born is beyond the realm of It's ephemeral nature . Be it a mighty king Bali , who was the ruler of the three worlds or a great Sage Machhindranath who had 84000 followers , no one is invincible to the powerful clutches of death. Wandering mind under the illusion is like continuous orbiting of Sun and Moon in the sky. The journey of Self Realisation is all about the reflective thought of the virtues inculcated within. Our mind is a garden , thoughts are the seeds. We can grow flowers or we can grow weeds. Saint Namdev thus insists that our thought process need to be cleansed time and again to be "One" with the Supreme Consciousness. "

" The Divine Lord is a Supreme Cosmic Spirit which is omniscient , omnipotent and omnipresent. He is the seed from which a gigantic tree of creation has sprouted. Though the  creation is visible , it's seed remains invisible. All things emanate from Him and absorb in Him. Like a gardener , He tends a budding flower with care. He is wind  He is water and He downpours as showers  of rains.  The genderless Lord Divine depicts the cardinal affection between male and female.
The Supreme Lord is the Sun and He is the Moon. He is the earth and He is the sky. He is the five elements of which the world is composed of.
Saint Namdev bows to Him with reverence. "

It says ,
" Self Realisation is an inverted journey , a journey within. Devotion unfolds the path within. And hence to seek Self Realisation eventually means to seek the Supreme Lord Shri Ram. The Divine Lord can be sought only through His true devotee. In this composition Saint Namdev has illuminated this thought. He says ,
One who does not have deep seated affection for Supreme Lord Shri Ram, is like a ship in the desert. The Name Worship of Supreme Lord is a a sure way to transcend beyond the realm of material world.
Venomous disposition masked by veneer of goodness unfolds the path of doom.
Seeking the Divine without knowing a true devotee is like wanderings of a blind man.
One can seek the Supreme Lord Shri Ram only by being true to Self. All the efforts of chicanery are in vain. Saint Namdev says that the "One" Lord Divine can be sought only through His true devotee who is in the path to become "One" with Supreme Consciousness.
Unlike body , the spirit cannot be appraised by the glitter of Gold and embellishments.
Saint Namdev reiterates that Oneness with Supreme Self is possible only when there is trueness embedded deep within. "

It says ,
" The Supreme Lord Shri Ram is oceanic in His virtues. The ocean of peace , the ocean of love , the ocean of bliss , the ocean of knowledge  and the ocean of happiness. He dispels sorrow and bestows joy. It is but impossible for infinitesimal man to seek infinite God , untill there is perfect resonance of individual self and Supreme Self. Illuminating this thought Saint Namdev says ,
It is but futile an effort to sing praises of God when His splendour has enlightened every living being. Also pointless it is to fill an ewer with water during His prayer , being aware that the seven seas reside at His feet. His beauty shines with the radiant glow of thousands of suns and hence it is worthless to offer prayer to Him by lighting simply an oil lamp. Similarly to offer Him a flower is so barren a deed when the Supreme Lord is festooned with the beautiful nature. To sound a bell during His prayer also seems to be worthless when His creation is a perfect confluence of life and melody.
The Supreme Consciousness envelopes the world entire. Saint Namdev says that he offers praise to the Supreme Lord Shri Ram with utmost reverence. "

" One cannot see a tree hidden within a seed or oil in mustard. The fragrance cannot be seen in flower.
The Divine Omnipresence is an experience. Just as the soul resides within the body , Divine resides within the universe. Just as there is water everywhere under the ground and it can be sourced through well, in the same way the Divine Omnipresence can be reached through devotion and prayer. The perspective decides the form in which the Divine is perceived. He is the conqueror of evil but an Eternal Bliss to an Enlightened Being. Similarly He is solace in great sorrow as well as source of elation n happiness.
All that is instinct and inherent part of within is Divine , be it evil or righteousness. The Supreme Consciousness plays through veil of illusion.
Wisdom of Supreme Self or Meditation , are only the means of seeking Eternal Bliss.
Saint Namdev says that it will be untrue to proclaim that I have seen the Divine or heard the Divine. The Name Worship of Supreme Lord Shri Ram is the only mode by which One can seek the Divine Bliss. "

It says ,
" Be it Vedic Scriptures or Mythology , it is evident that the devotee of Supreme Lord Shri Ram is blessed with detachment. A mind that is stertched by Divine experience can never go back to its old dimensions. To ellucidate this thought Saint Namdev has given beautiful analogies. He says ,
The curd is churned to separate the butter. But once it is done , the process cannot be reversed. In the similar way , a devotee of Supreme Lord Shri Ram remains unruffled by worldly happenings. It is indeed true that "Stones make no splash on a frozen lake."
The fire coming out of wood doesn't merge into the wood again.
A mythical Philosopher's Stone ( परिस ) is believed to transmute Iron into Gold. But this process is also irreversible. Devotee of Supreme Lord Shri Ram , being in the process of Becoming on his journey to Self Realisation , displays similar attributes.
Wood of Aak tree and Palash tree when coated with Sandalwood becomes One.
Similarly a devotee , absorbed in the Name Worship of Supreme Lord Shri Ram becomes One with the Supreme Self.
With reverence , Saint Namdev pays a deep obeisance to the One who recites the Holy Ram Nam incessantly. "

It says ,
" An anxious heart weighs a man down , but a kind word cheers him up ."  So are the magic words of an Enlightened Being who is convinced that nothing can separate us from Divine Lord's love. Neither death or life , neither angels or demons , neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow.
Saint Namdev says that these soothing words pacified him and instilled in him peace from within. He says ,
When the curtain of illusion is unveiled , the sense of fearlessness is emerged. Trumpeting loudly , a juggler attracts a big odience. Soon after his play is over and everyone departs , he is again all alone.The world entire which we see is but  a farce , an illusion that tricks our mind.
As the spider spreads out the web from within , plays in it , and again draws the web into itself , similarly the Supreme Lord Shri Ram creates the material world from Supreme Self , plays in it as a living entity and then merges into it.
Unfortunately in the mighty illusion of world entire , One in unable to discern His presence.
A gazelle is afraid of the scarecrow in the field. But as it nears , it realises it's falsity and the fear vanishes.
Similarly when the inherent truth of our existence is revealed  by the Enlightened Being , then the fear dissipates and One experiences peace from within ."

" In this composition Saint Namdev implores the Mind regarding futility of life as a whiole. He insists the mind, to break free of the cage of senses and seek open sky of Self Realisation. He says ,
Beware O'  Mind, do not be subjected to false beliefs. This world entire is a mighty web of deception. Life is diminishing with every passing moment. The phenomenal irreversibility of life is frightening. Material wealth , bloom of youth and beauty fades fast and cannot be relied upon. They all resemble water in an unmade pot which takes hardly any time to crack. Be it consumption of Amrut or nectar of immortality or craving of Gold or embellishments of any kind , all are in vain , as inevitably the soul will quit it's bodily abode and the body will wither to dust. In the end , it is a solo journey , unchaperoned by friends and family. The grieving of loved one's is but momentary , as life must go on.
Saint Namdev earmestly implores that One must inculcate righteousness and compassion from deep within. Life is but a fleeting glimpse of the world entire. And hence One must hold Supreme Lord Shri Ram dearly and devote to His Name Worship ceaselessly. "

It says ,
" The Lord Divine , a seamster ,  has garbed the creation in a beautiful attire. It is intricately woven by threads of air and depicts pictures of water on it. It has taken ten months to get it ready. The Supreme Lord Shri Ram is a crown of glory and diadem of beauty.  A crown signifies a glory , but it's beauty is in its diadem , which is full of jewels and precious stones. The diadem is the beauty of the glorious crown. The Name of the Supreme Lord is the jewel in the crown.
The apparel is strengthened from within by lining of Devotion and Enlightenment. Magnificently accoutred , the Supreme Consciousness blooms in its full glory. It stitches it's own garment and dons it.
Saint Namdev says , the secondless Supreme Self has reflections a many , but it's being is Eternal ."

It says ,
" Resonance of mind with Supreme Lord Shri Ram is greatest of wealth which transcends far beyond the riches of material world. Such pious soul is awarded with  Ashta Siddhi ( अष्ट सिद्धि ) and Nav Nidhi ( नव निधी )

अष्ट सिद्धि are eight great perfections. They are ,
1) Anima ( अणिमा ) means ability to become smallest
2) Mahima ( महिमा ) means expanding one's body to an infinitely large size
3) Garima ( गरिमा ) means becoming infinitely heavy
4) Laghima( लघिमा ) means becoming almost weightless
5) Prapti (प्राप्ति ) means ability to acquire whatever desired.
6)prakamya( प्राकाम्या ) means ability to enjoy what is seen or heard
7) ishatva ( इशत्व ) means possessing absolute lordship
8) Vastav ( वास्तव ) means the power to subjugate all.

Nidhi (निधि ) means treasure. There are nine valuable possessions. They are ,
1) Mahapadma ( महापद्म ) means great lotus flower
2) Padma ( पद्म ) means lotus flower
3) Shankha (शंख ) means Conch
4) Makar ( मकर ) means Crocodile
5) Kachhapa means tortoise
6) Kumud (कुमुद ) means a precious stone
7) Kunda ( कुंदा ) means Jasmine
8) Nila ( नील ) means Sapphire
9) Kharva (खर्व )means Dwarf.

It is said that Lord Hanuman has Ashta Siddhi and Nav Nidhi.
 Lord Hanuman awards these powers to His devotees who worship with reverence.
DaItya Hiranyakashipu was slain by Supreme Lord Vishnu. When the Divine Lord asked Prahlad to seek some boon , Prahlad asked for His blessing that no desire may arise in the mind for anything.
This story suggest that for a true devotee of Supreme Lord Shri Ram , the worldly riches carry no significance.And hence Saint Namdev says that if devotion to Supreme Lord is from deep within then One transcends beyond the realm of Dharma , Artha , Kama and even Moksha , the  Liberation. "

" Unless One experiences the peace from within , there is absolutely no use of pursuing techniques of meditation.
The snake shreds it's skin but poison is inherent part of it. Similarly every individual displays peculiar personality traits which are ingrained deep in his psyche.
The Crane bird stands stockstill in water as if in deep meditation. But that doesn't mean it is absorbed in self.
As the kill of Lion is too big to remain concealed so is the Eternal truth , which can never remain camouflaged.
In the similar way , One is often trapped in religious rituals and unknowingly subject to exhibitionism.
Hence Saint Namdev implores that One must devote to the Name Worship of Supreme Lord Shri Ram , as this is the Elixir on the journey of Self Realisation. "

" The Divine is a paragon of all the attributes ever conceived by the imperfect human mind. In this composition Saint Namdev has discoursed of the sacred relationship between devotee and Lord Almighty. He says ,
The  perfect consonance of the Supreme Lord Shri Ram and His true devotee is the only One of its kind.
Awareness of being etetnally loved by the Divine is a fillip to surrender to the Supreme Self. On the path of devotion , faith is born out of love and love blossoms our faith. Saint Namdev has given beautiful analogies.
Ripples on the still water of a reservoir represents the Seeker of Supreme Self on the journey of Self Realisation.
The Name Worship of Supreme Lord Shri Ram is a journey deep within to merge within. In another analogy Saint Namdev says that the Seeker of Supreme Self is a small bird roosting in the immense shadow of a giant tree or the Supreme Lord Shri Ram.
Saint Namdev says that on the path of devotion he has transcended beyond the realm of duality and merged into the Supreme Consciousness , the abode of Supreme Lord Shri Ram. "

It says ,
" The cause of our ignorance is a kind of mist that comes between us and the ultimate truth. The diversity in unity is an illusion and is caused by veiling power of Supreme Consciousness. This veiling power creates illusion of me. Unless One recites the name of Supreme Lord Shri Ram incessantly , it is not possible to see the reality behind the illusion. Illuminating this thought Saint Namdev says ,
The Name Worship of Supreme Lord Shri Ram should be from deep within and selfless.
A filth cleaned by filth is forever dirty. The Ablution must be from within rather than outwardly immaculate appearance.  Spotless veneer of a hypocrite always tend to camouflage the foul intentions embedded deep within.
The Eternal journey of Self Realisation can be transcended  only by Name Worship of the Supreme Lord Shri Ram , which is in itself  Eternal. He gives a beautiful analogy. कामधेनू is a miraculous ' Cow of Plenty ' who provides her owner whatever is desired. Wisdom is, to hold Kamadhenu Cow rather than holding on to an ordinary sheep .
Saint Namdev reiterates that journey from visible Macro world to the Micro Supreme Consciousness has to be done by the Micro means which is the Name Worship of the Supreme Lord Shri Ram . "

It says ,
" The world we live in is a jungle where the senses rob us of our most valuable possession , an awareness of Self Realisation. The illusion of senses is so intriguing that herculean effort is needed to evade this trap. Illuminating this thought Saint Namdev says, the honey accumulated by Honeybee is snatched away from her by force , hence all her efforts go in vain.
A cow's milk is meant for her calf, but she is robbed of it forcefully.
The fish can be tempted by all manner of baits.They are used to tempt a hungry fish to fall into the trap laid by the angler. It is said that , to a fish , life is about maximum gratification of appetite at the minimum expenditure of energy. Here fish depicts collection of appetites. It can be stomach , a mouth or a pair of eyes.  Unknowingly  the fish swallows the bait along with the hook and hence get trapped. In the lure of the bait the looming dark shadow of death is ignored by it. In the similar way temptations of Gold and Lust entice One into a sweet trap. All his deeds in this world of Illusion drag him into an abyss. His conscience is shrouded by veil of ignorance which compells him to forget that in the end,  all his material wealth will be of no use to him when he will finally perish , as all that is born must die.
He is scalded in the powerful clutches of Kaam or Lust , Krodh or Anger and Trishna or Longing. Despite this he doesn't make a conscious effort to be with Enlightened Being who can steer him on virtuous path.
Saint Namdev implores that One should surrender completely to Supreme Lord Shri Ram  and devote to His Name Worship  unceasingly , as this unfolds the path to Eternal Bliss. "

" The Divine Lord is pleased by nothing but pure Conscience , a reflective thought. He can neither be tricked or deceived by false pretenses.
He loves to be in  bondage of a pious soul.
A libidinous woman overty displays her intent lewdly , but this fleeting rendezvous doesn't  last long. However a chaste woman adores her husband from deep within. And hence Saint .Namdev says that a true devotee believes only in absolute Divine who reciprocates solemnly with same fervour . "

It says ,
" Shortly before the voluntary relinquishment of his human existence , Saint Dnyaneshwar bowed in reverence to Saint Nivrittinath ,his Spiritual Teacher and also an elder brother. Saint Nivrittinath , being an Enlightened Soul was well aware  that the inherent nature of body is to wane with every passing moment. Born human, he was not beyond the realm of emotional attachments and hence  he was deeply saddened by likely separation of his beloved brother. Saint Namdev elucidates the deep gloominess of Saint Nivrittinath.
Saint Dnyaneshwar expressed gratitude to Saint Nivruttinath , being his guide on the journey of Self Realisation. Saint Nivrittinath was overwhelmed by his affection and he took him in his arms. This bought tears to eyes of everyone present.
Being very obedient disciple of his Teacher  , he was always very submissive. Together they portray the epitome of Teacher Disciple relationship.
Saint Dnyaneshwar's commentary on Bhagvad  Gita is praised for its aesthetic as well as scholarly value. He elucidated Gita in a language easily understood by masses. It is indeed a blessing to have known Saint Dnyaneshwar , who steered the masses by educating them spiritually.
The Ancient Wisdom of Vedic Scriptures which was very difficult to be grasped ,  was conveyed by Saint Dnyaneshwar to the masses in lucid language , thereby sabotaging deliberate vicious  attempts to influence perceptions of ordinary people about mythology. Reminding of all such things , it was indeed unbearable to think of separation from the luminary like Saint Dnyaneshwar.
In this composition , Saint Namdev has expresses the sorrow experienced by all those who were grieving the separation from Saint Dnyaneshwar. "

It says ,
" Saint Dnyaneshwar's voluntary exit from this material world marks entering into a state of Meditative Consciousness. Like fire burns Camphor completely leaving behind only a fragrance , Saint Dnyaneshwar surrendered himself wholly and dissolved into absolute. He  entered a yogic path of salvation at Alandi on the banks of river Indrayani. Illuminating the extraordinaire of this place Saint Namdev says ,
" Since time immemorial , this place has a great tradition of 108 Seekers attaining Enlightenment through the perfect union of the individualised soul and the Infinite Spirit. It was evident when seats of meditation of those 108 Enlightened Beings were found in that place. This rather unknown but great historic perspective was put to the fore by Supreme Lord Vitthal.
Earlier this Holy place of Enlightenment was under the Idol of Nandi , a bull serving as a gate guardian deity of Kailas , the abode of Supreme Lord Shiva. When this idol was put aside , the hollow trench was visible. It is indeed mesmerizing to find  the Seat of meditation , the Dhuni or a sacred fire , a  fire being manifestation of cosmic energy of which this whole universe is made and Mrugajin , all the paraphernilia of meditation strewn in it.
Saint Dnyaneshwar belongs to the tradition of Nath Sampraday.
It is a timeless lineage of spiritual masters , seeking Supreme Consciousness through the greatest Yogi 's of all ages. Originating from Adi Nath , Supreme Lord Shiva Himself , it is no surprise to find the cavern of attaining Enlightenment just below the Idol of Nandi. "

It says ,
" The Holy river Ganga emanates from the lotus feet of Supreme Lord Vishnu and is held safely by Supreme Lord Shiva on His head. This symbolises devotion of Supreme Lord Shiva towards Supreme Lord Vishnu. This implies that Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu are not distinct but depict the Oneness of Supreme Consciousness. Emphasizing this thought to the respective devotees , Saint Namdev says ,
Supreme Lord Shiva and Supreme Lord Vishnu are but the images of the Supreme Consciousness which is abstract. And hence it will be  inappropriate to seek devotion of Supreme Lord Vishnu , simultaneously distancing from the devotion of Supreme Lord Shiva. This does not serve any purpose and all the efforts go in vain. Devotion of the Divine is beyond the realm of image worship. Getting trapped in idol worship deviates One from the journey of Self Realisation.
Saint Namdev was a devotee of Supreme Lord Vitthal. But he was aware of Oneness of Lord Supreme , be it Supreme Lord Shiva or Supreme Lord Vitthal.
Saint Namdev says ,
The sense of devotion is of paramount importance rather than rigid way of thinking like adhering to image worship of the Lord Divine.
Saint Namdev was aware that Lord Divine is reflected in different manifestations , but His Oneness is Eternal. "

It says ,
" Despite reaching zenith of endeavours ,Saint Namdev found himself to be far from Divine experience. This depressed his spirits. His restless mind felt like popping of puff grains. Addressing Supreme Lord Vitthal , Saint Namdev said ,
Our Earthly life is wee bit trivial in the immenseness of gigantic universe. It is but an illusion which has cloaked your Divinity. You are all encompassing and all embracing of this majestic universe. It is indeed a great paradox to have your memory erased by much trivial worldly life.
I have been trapped in the vortex of mundane life and much engrossed in it and hence tend to forget you temporarily. This is indeed a mockery of servant's respect to his Lord.
Comparing the triviality of worldly life with the Divine , there is a beautiful analogy of a minor fly as utter negligible on the backdrop of mammoth Meru Mountain.
Saint Namdev says that he has realised the play of illusion in his Earthly existence and is well aware of what need to be done to subdue it.
This composition narrates the depressed state of his Spiritual Journey. Being the dark night of the soul , this state is of paramount importance in the journey of Self Realisation. "

It says ,
" The impending voluntary exit of Saint Dhyaneshvar from this temporal world has cast a shadow of gloom over all beings , Enlightened or not.
In this composition the Supreme Lord Vitthal has consoled the downcast beings by giving beautiful analogies.
The Divine Lord says ,
Saint Dnyaneshwar has comprehended the Supreme Consciousness holistically. Being spirituality awakened , he is well aware of the character of this world order , the unseen as well as manifested. Self Realisation has Enlightened him as if नंदादीप or lamp of Wisdom of Supreme Self has removed the darkness of ignorance. Being One with the Supreme Essence , he is beyond the domain of worldly birth and death. He has transcended to Vaikunth ,  the Celestial abode of Supreme Lord Vishnu , an abode of Liberated Souls.
But for a nescient , the Enlightened Being Saint Dnyaneshwar is beyond the realm of mortality.
Lord Supreme Vitthal implores the broken hearted beings to cease grieving. Citing beautiful analogies. He says ,
The sky is reflected in pot of water. The perpetual sky remains forever even if the pot breaks and water is drained .
Seeing the mirror image it will be absurd to say that two faces are created.
Liveliness of the body reflects the living being. But the Supreme Consciousness is all embracing and boudless.
A cloth is weaved from yarn. Regardless of it being weaved or not , the texture of the yarn remains untouched.
With these analogies the Supreme Lord Vitthal  reiterates that the Oneness of Supreme Consciousness is ubiquitous.
The worldly reflections of Supreme Consciousness may differ , but it's Essence is timeless. "

"Probing the profound impact of teachings of Saint Dhyaneshvar , Saint Namdev says ,
An aesthesis of Self Realisation is unplumbed like an ocean. The nature of Supreme Consciousness is enigmatic and shrouded in obscurity. Saint Dhyaneshvar transpired the mystical experience on the path of Self Realisation. He unravelled the ancient prejudices pertaining to Supreme Consciousness.
He deciphered the secret of Supreme Consciousness as if holding an Amla fruit distinctly in the palm of hand. His exposition of Supreme Consciousness is beyond the realm of any skepticism .
Saint Dnyaneshwar put an end to bewilderment regarding karma कर्म and Akarma अकर्म  or between what is manifested outside and what is going on inside.
He , being one of  the most revered in three sects of universe , the Heavenly , the Earthly and the Infernal , regarded the Wisdom of Supreme Self as an eye opener , to enhance the vision beyond the realm of senses. It unfolded the path of Self Realisation to the Seeker , in a way wielding संजीवनी or power of Wisdom to the One dying knowledgeless. "

It says ,
" In most of his compositions , Saint Namdev has narrated the glory of devotional worship of Lord Divine.
Saint Namdev says ,
मोक्ष or Liberation means liberation of the individual soul from the unending cycle of births and deaths , from the sense of duality and separation and ultimately union with Supreme Consciousness.
Devotional Worship of Supreme Lord Vitthal unfolds the path towards Liberation. The four Vedic Scriptures reiterate this truth since time immemorial. To unlock this secret , One needs to associate with Enlightened Beings , to learn from them the true Wisdom of Devotion.
All that exists deserves to perish. To understand the profoundness behind this , One needs to surrender completely to the Enlightened Soul , under whose umbrella of Wisdom , One sees the light which leads him to Self Realisation.
The Devotion as a means , is much easier to become One with Supreme Consciousness.
Saint Namdev emphasizes that for a Seeker of Supreme Self , the path of devotion must be followed steadfastly under the patronage of the Enlightened Being. "

 It says ,
" Saint Namdev is in बद्धावस्था , a state of conditioned , material consciousness. Illuminating this state Saint Muktabai says ,
This state portrays the mind of the Seeker under the veil of arrogance. Saint Namdev was experiencing a sense of pride over his communion with the Supreme Lord.
In this composition , Saint Namdev has commented about his state of mind which is eclipsed with arrogance , in the words of Saint Muktabai.
Saint Muktabai says ,
The pot maker subjects the clay pots in the kiln. Firing clay transforms it from its humble , soft beginning into a substance of immense durability. Pieces of pottery survive for thousands of years , all because the clay is subjected to fire.
A beautiful doll made of wax melts as soon as it comes in contact with fire. It's existence is consumed by fire entirely.
A Gazelle wandering in the desert is tempted by  an illusion of a distant waterhole.
Saint Muktabai says that association of wandering mind with Enlightened Being is as unimaginable as assuming waves in the oasis.
It was indeed amazing that a pellet thrown in water doesn't become One with it. Saint Muktabai says that due to the arrogance  Saint Namdev is far from the ultimate truth of Self Realisation and hence much away from Oneness with Supreme Consciousness.
Like firing pottery , it is much needed to enrich  the life of Saint Namdev by the Wisdom of Supreme Self. "

It says ,
" Saint Gyaneshvar's voluntary exit from this material world is in itself a very sorrowful affliction to all including the Enlightened Beings of that era. However for Saint Gyaneshvar , it is nothing but  experiencing an Eternal Joy of Wisdom., In this composition Saint Namdev presents a monologue of Supreme Lord Vitthal.
The Supreme Lord Vitthal says ,
The Holy river Ganga springs from Himalay , ultimately becoming One with the ocean. But this does not mean that the waters of Ganga undergo any change . The Oneness of its waters is Eternal. Giving this analogy , Supreme Lord says that Saint Gyaneshvar is about to begin a journey from human self to Supreme Self. But the Oneness of Supreme Consciousness is everlasting. So it will be fallacious to say that he is distinct from the all enveloping consciousness.
In this way the Supreme Lord Vitthal explained the significance of Saint Gyaneshvar's voluntary exit. This soliloquy of the Lord Supreme pacified his brothers and sister who then assumed a sense of detachment from within. The Supreme Wisdom dawned on them. "

"  Elucidating the glory of Name Worship of the Supreme Lord , Saint Namdev talks about the love showered by Supreme Lord Vitthal on His true devotee. He says ,
The magnanimity of Supreme Lord Vitthal is well acclaimed. His love instills Godliness in His devotee. The Lord Supreme expects nothing but pure devotional worship from His devotee. Pure devotion enthralls Him to the core and draws Him to the devotee. The true devotion being priceless , One does not need to expend anything.
The Name Worship of Supreme Lord Vitthal holds the key for attaining the pure devotion. Reciting the Name of Supreme Lord from deep within is regarded as paramount by the Divine Lord. The Supreme Lord will chaperon His true devotee and will never let him go astray. The all encompassing and compassionate Supreme Lord Vitthal is the abode of solace to all His devotees. For the true devotee , the  proximity to Supreme Lord Vitthal is  as profound as the yearning of newly married girl towards her parents. "

It says ,
" The Name of Supreme Lord Shri Ram in its Essence is unparalleled.
तुला or balance is used to quantify the weight. On such weighing scale if the Vedic Scripture along with the essence of religious rituals are put on one pan and on the opposite pan if holy Ram Nam is assumed , then Name of Supreme Lord Shri Ram seems to be weighty than the other.
One need to meditate the Name Of Supreme Lord Shri Ram unceasingly , which is secondless , soundless and beyond the realm of any perceptible manifestation.
The Creation is but an emanation of the Lord Supreme.
The three worlds of existence are Physical , Subtle and Causal are created by Him and are within Him. This is like , a spider spins and withdraws it's web.
The Physical Plane is a world of material substance where things are perceived by five senses. It is remarkable in its unending variety and enthralling novelty. This Physical world is the embodiment of constant change.
The Subtle Plane is a mental- emotional sphere where we function through thoughts , feelings.
The Causal Plane pulsates at the core of the being  deep within the Subtle Plane. It is the abode of Supreme Consciousness , the Supreme Lord Shiva. It is the world of blessedness , the source of conceptions and the apex of creation. It is the natural refuge of all souls.
All three worlds , and also time and space , dissolve in Supreme Lord Shiva.
The Supreme Lord Shiva loves to rhyme on the Holy  " Ram Nam "
The Holy " Ram Nam " unfolds the path towards perennial joy.
Saint Namdev implores that One needs to devote to the Name Worship of Supreme Lord Shri Ram ceaselessly , as it is the sure way to attain Eternal Bliss. "

It says ,
" Affinity to Divine is intuitive.form of Supreme Consciousness. Religious rituals are often devoid of genuine affection to the Divine. Elucidating this thought Saint Namdev says ,
The exhibitionists tend to celebrate their spiritual encounters by singing , dancing.
The scent of the Divine Essence is emanated from within when true Wisdom dawns from Self Realisation. Mere anointing One with Sandalwood will be in vain.
Wanderings of mind can be subdued only on the journey of Self Realisation.
Unfortunately the Icon of the Supreme Lord is adored superficially without delving deep into its Essence.
Blessed is the One who attains Wisdom of Supreme Self . He aquires a vision of transcendence beyond the realm of perceptible.
Saint Namdev says ,
The Name Worship of the Supreme Lord Shri Ram is the only adoration of the Divine he is aware  of. His soul resonates in perfect harmony with the Eternal. "

" In this composition Saint Namdev talks about mundane living of our worldly existence . Some amount of astuteness is much needed while performing our daily chores. Saint Namdev experiences agitation from within when he notes that due to innumerable influences by world around , it is almost impossible to exercise unbiased outlook towards happenings in our life. He says ,
People with vulturous disposition often display pseudo immaculateness as their outer veneer . It's indeed rare to come across One who deciphers the secret of Supreme Consciousness and hence surrender completely to the Supreme Lord Shri Ram.
Saint Namdev reiterates that Blessed is the One who recites the Name Of Supreme Lord Shri Ram unceasingly , as this is the gateway to the true wisdom.
The tranquility of mind is awarded when One devotes completely to the Name  Worship of the  Supreme Lord Shri Ram incessantly. "

In this composition Saint Namdev talks about the communion between worldly life and journey of Self Realisation.
"Praising the glory of the Name Worship of Lord Supreme , Saint Namdev has  discoursed about its spiritual returns.
The Name Worship can be pursued while involved in worldly life and One is not needed to be recluse having austere way of life. There is absolutely no need to renounce worldly duties. Illuminating this thought Saint Namdev says ,
Blessed is the One who recites the Name of Supreme Lord Vitthal at his own free will. Righteousness is embedded deeply withiin his household. Blessed is the One who worships Supreme Lord Pandurang with unconditional love. He enjoys a fulfilled life of utmost contentment. He is showered with virtues of Supreme Essence.
The Name Worship of Supreme Lord is easiest among the other and it opens the path to Eternal Bliss. '

It says ,
" Renouncing the worldly desires is essential to seek salvation through path of devotion. However to continue doing it consistently for a long time is a gruelling  task and needs conviction from within. Following the path of Devotion  is a solemn promise to the self.
In this composition Saint Namdev has effectively used "Exaggeration" on the backdrop of "Paradox" , to exemplify this thought.  He says ,
The devotion of the Supreme Lord is a herculean task as compared to even draining the ocean by capacity of an ant. Devotion to Lord Supreme is a dialogue with the Self and hence much trumpeting of it takes it nowhere. Similarly ,
The sky is an abyss and is beyond comprehension. However in the wierd imagination , its vastness can be grasped by worldly means ,  but it is more difficult to achieve unstirred devotion to the Supreme Lord.
In the same way , weighing of earth or curbing of savage wind may be even assumed to be possible , but explicit devotion to the Lord Supreme is more vigorous an endeavour.
In this composition , Saint Namdev has narrated with focus on the paradox of the analogies. He reiterates that journey to Self Realisation is taxing endeavour, it needs tremendous resolve and can be pursued only by affinity to the Divine from deep within. "

धन लोभ्याने धन ठेवियले दूरी I
वर्ते चराचरीं परि लक्ष तेथे II
नामा म्हणे असावे भलतिया व्यापारी I
लक्ष सर्वेश्वरी ठेवूनिया II

It says ,
" In this composition Saint Namdev cautions the Seeker on the journey of Self Realisation. He says ,
 in the hustle bustle of daily life , One has to subject  himself to mundane activities which are unavoidable and time bound. Despite being duty bound it is much needed that the Seeker of Supreme Self inculcates within him a sense of detachment from the worldly affairs. This is possible only when One becomes habitual of the Name Worship of Supreme Lord Vitthal. In a way , the worldly living need to  be merged with the journey of Self Realisation.
Illustrating this thought Saint Namdev says ,
The Kite soars higher and higher in the sky while the string controlling it's coarse is held firmly  on the ground.. The holder of the stting keeps himself aware that the string remains uncut.
A woman carrying on her head multiple pots of water neatly stacked one over the other. Irrespective of her free hands , she keeps an eye on the pots so that her balance is not lost.
The mind of the prostitute is flooded with lascivious thoughts. Regardless of her facade she muses over her lewd desires incessantly.
The thief wanders around in the city in an unassuming manner ,  keeping close watch on his prospective targets.
One who is greedy , keeps his fortune hidden. He mingles with people , but his mind ceaselessly dwells over the safety of his treasure.
Giving these analogies , Saint Namdev says , that regardless of the worldly living , the attention of the Seeker of Supreme Self should be always on Supreme Lord. "
