It says ,
"
Saint Namdev had inherited ancestral profession of tailoring. The Sewing tools such as needles , thread , scissors , meterstick are nothing but catalyst in his quest of Eternal Bliss. In a way he views his profession as a medium to seek the mystical experience.
He says ,
" My mind is a meterstick and tongue is a scissor. The scissor will cut the deathly grip of YAMA, the Lord of DeathI. It means that a conscious effort of Name Worship of Supreme Lord Shri Ram will free  me from powerful clutches of fear of death. With least concern to social hierarchy, I will recite the name of Supreme Lord Shri Ram incessantly , while simultaneously doing colouring and tailoring work. Let  me be absorbed in the Name Worship of Lord Supreme Shri Ram  unceasingly.
Saint Namdev is absorbed in weaving name of Supreme Lord Shri Ram using  golden needle and thread of silver ."
